How our process works.
Free Consult
Leave your contact information to book a free 15-minute consult with one of our lawyers. During the consult, we learn more about the estate and identify the type of legal service you require.
Hire Us Virtually
Complete a Legal Services Agreement along with a questionnaire about the estate so that we can get started on your Application for Probate. Send us the original Will (If the deceased had one) and proof of death.
We prepare your application
Once we have an understanding of the estate’s assets, debts, liabilities and beneficiaries we draft your Application for Probate and provide you with a copy. We review the documents together before we submit them to the Court.
We make it official
We send you the Application via email and we witness you signing the documents virtually. You send us the signed documents, we commission them and send them off to the Court.
We deal with the Court
Sometimes the Court has questions about your Application. We will address the Court’s concerns on your behalf and arrange for any additional required documentation to be prepared and submitted to the Court.
Probate done
Once the Court has granted your Probate Certificate, we arrange for the documents to be delivered directly to you. Now you are ready to administer the estate. If you need help, we offer Estate Administration Services.
Still not sure what probate is?
- Probate is the procedure to ask the Court to give you authority to act as Estate Trustee; or
- If the deceased had a Will and you were named in the Will as Estate Trustee, obtaining probate will:
- Confirm your authority to act as Estate Trustee; and
- Formally recognize the deceased’s Will as his or her last valid Will.
- A Probate Certificate is not always required to administer an estate.
